Health and Wellness Class Research Paper: DUE Wed. October 26th 10%
You will write a 2 page, double spaced, typed and printed, paper on any health topic that you are interested in. You must have at least 2 different sources sited clearly in your paper. Please include a title, a description of the topic and then 2 or 3 clear paragraphs explaining the health topic or issue that you have read and what you learned about it.
Topics might include: baby care, pre-natal care, common illness in children, heart disease, diabetes, sexually transmitted disease, suicide, depression, weight loss, exercise programs, gout, dental care, personal hygiene, mental illness, dealing with stress, relationship problems…… anything that relates to a health in life.
You can find information on the Internet, books in the library, videos, health magazines, pamphlets in the CMI clinic or tutoring center, hospital, nursing department. You must clearly show your 2 references. One reference can be electronic, the other must be from a hard copy.
Name of the book or article, author, date it was written, (name of magazine or Internet site) page number or internet address, name of publisher if it is a book, who printed the pamphlet (DOH, YTYIH etc.) Be sure to show where you got your information from. DO NOT COPY THE MATERIAL. USE YOUR OWN WORDS TO SUMMARIZE IT. TELL WHAT YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR 2 SOURCES.
